Relief.........I pray

Less than three weeks to the elections. Finally it will all be over. I won't know what to do with myself. I'm sure I'll have to check into "Political Junkie Rehab".........does anyone have a reccomendation for a good place. Withdrawals will surely kick in..........HOPEFULLY.....November 5th. If another debacle over vote count goes on, like 2000, and embarrasses this nation again, with no predisent-elect until January..............well, I just can't say!

Sarah Palin to make an appearance on SNL. I'm betting Tina Fey "plays" her better! This happens tonight.

Let the games begin. By the way.........surragates and pundits on TV are saying there can be no "voter fraud" by Acorn, because you have to show I. D. when you go to the polls. This is not true. Not once in my "voting life", have I ever had to do anything other than "sign", and hope that the signatures matched. Depending on what mood I'm in......sometimes they don't look the same. Now........I realize a professional handwriting analyst could verify it was I, who indeed signed the books. Let's realize, however, that most of the "officials" at the voting polls who check this are 65+.........and probably can't even see my signature. Maybe someplace else in the U.S., they require I.D. New York and New Jersey.........I'll testify, my experiences are......not so much!

Obama Country.....

I did what I believed was the patriotic thing to do.........offered my time, gas money, tolls and money required to eat and drink. The funny thing is........they didn't need me here. This IS an Obama/Biden area of Philadelphia. I am not a person of great "means", so I would ask, why here?

I could've stayed in my home in NY and canvassed/cold called........and got the same results. At an early hour of the morning, NO ONE, wants to be awakened on a Saturday morning........to be asked to do anything. BUT.........when you live in an area that is 98% voting for Obama already..........you REALLY don't want people calling you.

I think I'll stay local, and do what I can for our local pol's; cost less, I'll know what I'm getting in to, and makes more sense............however, I still stand strong and urge everyone who's legally registered, (oy vey, with that) .....VOTE........NOVEMEBER 4, 2008!

Getting Involved......

I'm still waiting on my instructions from "Hillary sent me....", to go campaign in N.E. Philadelphia, this weekend........the onus is upon us to take action in our government
to help direct the United States in our recoverery from this melt down.......EVERYONE VOTE!

Mugged by Sprint....or the NY DMV

I recently read Sprint is "mugging" folks. I have also been "assaulted" by the NYC DMV, indicating that my drivers license had been suspended for a year, and they'd be happy to re-instate it, for $1200. The problem.......I've never been suspended in NY or anywhere else.
I guess the gloves have to come off.........if I want a NY license that is.....

I was watching a Paul Newman movie Saturday morning around 2:00 a.m. I was remembering he was sick, and wondering how he was doing. I didn't know he had passed hours earlier.....the movie........Nobody's Fool, with the inimitable Jessica Tandy! Circa 1994?

Presidential debating.

Of course both parties claim a clear and tremendous victory. We heard about the foreign affair, affairs.........let's get busy with the economy, or quite frankly, there won't be much of a country to worry about keeping safe........

Oh what a Sunday. Went to Giant Stadium.
Spent time with my grandson Matthew. His
first Giant Game........they won in overtime.

Very hot day......brutal in the Meadowlands,
but worth it.

I've read "A Letter to a The Nation". Well done, well written. As a completely biased reader I believe an uprising is in order.........

As an unbiased reader, an updated "Profile", of our Republican Presidential/Vice Presidential, candidates is, at the very least, in order........
